My Favorite Podcasts

I love listening to a good podcast when I’m cleaning, cooking, or driving. These are some of my favorites!

  1. Finding Joy in Your Home by Jami Balmet. This podcast consists of “deep theological discussions blended with thoroughly practical application!” Jami covers a wide range of topics from home management to marriage to parenting to traveling hacks to deep theological chats.
  2. Don’t Mom Alone by Heather MacFayden. This podcast usually features guest interviews. Heather encourages us to find our community and not to mom alone.
  3. Now That We’re a Family by the Voetbergs. This podcast is recorded in conversation form by husband and wife team–Katie and Elisha Voetberg. They cover all sorts of topics but primarily marriage and parenting. Their love for each other is very clear in the way they communicate, and their sweet and hilarious bantering is fun to listen to!
  4. Risen Motherhood by Emily Jensen and Laura Wifler. This podcast as the name suggests covers topics relating to motherhood. The episodes are usually short but very rich theologically and full of Scripture. I appreciate that about this podcast that it is centered on God’s Word instead of their own opinions.
  5. She Reads Truth by Raechel Myers and Amanda Bible Williams. This podcast is based off the She Reads Truth Bible studies so they talk through whatever Bible passages the study is currently focused on. I have learned so much about tough books of the Bible through this podcast.
  6. The Intentional Parents Podcast by Brook and Elizabeth Mosser and Phil and Diane Comer. This podcast is all about how to be intentional about raising passionate Jesus followers. With both biblical hope and practical tips, you will definitely find something helpful to apply to your life!
  7. The Real Life by Jeff and Alyssa Bethke. This podcast covers everything from potty training to theology. Another couple team records these so another fun listen!
  8. The Happy Hour by Jamie Ivey. The goal of this podcast is to inspire, encourage, and point to Jesus and it definitely does just that in its mostly guest interview episodes.
  9. The Happy Home by Arlene Pelicane. Co-author of Growing Up Social, Arlene Pelicane talks a lot about parenting in this podcast series. But she also covers marriage related topics in this podcast.
  10. Verity by Phylicia Masonheimer. This podcast covers topics of faith and culture from a biblical perspective. It has inspired me to ask deeper questions since many of its episodes focus on theology.
  11. A Slob Comes Clean by Dana White. This podcast has a lot of great cleaning and decluttering tips. My favorite is the one in one out rule. Basically, if you buy something new then you also need to get rid of something you already own. This is a great way to stay on top of clutter.
  12. Dwell Differently by Natalie Abbott – This podcast reviews a Bible verse every month and encourages memorization.
  13. No Higher Calling By Brettnay Brazzell – This podcast focuses on Biblical motherhood, marriage, and homemaking. Brettnay covers a variety of topics in these categories, and I find this podcast not only encouraging but also practical.
